At Ian Gurner Dental Care, we offer take-home custom-fit trays and in-chair whitening procedures.

This cleaning is essential as it removes the surface layer of plaque and staining that can impair the success of the whitening process.

Method: Boutique Whitening
Appointment 1 – 15mins

Our hygienist will take an impression of your teeth to create custom-fitted trays. These trays ensure that:

  • The whitening gel stays in contact with the teeth for maximum whitening
  • Saliva is prevented from coming into contact with the whitening gel which can dilute its strength
  • The whitening gel contact with the gums is minimised to avoid possible gum irritation

Appointment 2 – 20 mins

We check the fit of the customs made trays to ensure they are comfortable for you.

You will be given precise instruction to follow as to how to load the trays, how long you should leave the whitening gel-filled trays on your teeth and how many times the procedure should be repeated so that it is not misused.

We also provide you with some products to help prevent tooth sensitivity which is common with whitening treatments.

The whitening process using the tray system usually takes 7-14 days to see the effects.
