They Don’t Want You To Look After Your Teeth
They are the four most wanted of the Tooth Terror Gang. They want to make a nice comfortable home in your mouth, but you can fight back. Stop them in their tracks by brushing twice a day and flossing once a day. Don’t eat too many lollies or drink too much soft drink. They just love sugar, so by eating less, you can help keep them from setting up home in your mouth. Be an official “Tooth Terror Buster”.
Theodore Tartar
Crime – He’s hard at work to harden tooth buildup.
Theodore likes nothing better than to hide between your teeth and along the gum line. He clings on and grows, and then he traps stains which stop your teeth looking beautiful and white. Theodore is tough to remove with just brushing and flossing once he decides to make a home. By visiting your friendly Dentist or Dental Hygienist every six months, we can make sure he does not stay long.
Gertrude Gingivitis
Crime – She likes nothing better than to inflame your gums.
Gertrude is a sneaky one. She loves your gums. Typically your gums are pink in colour but when Gertrude arrives your gums become red and can be a bit swollen. She can also make them a bit sensitive and bleed when you brush. To discourage Gertrude from living in your mouth brush twice daily for about 2 minutes and floss once a day. Gertrude hates it when you clean your teeth.
Dante D.K.
Crime – He’s busy munching on your teeth, creating cavities.
Dante hates living alone. His best friends are Theodore and Gertrude. So when he is living in your mouth, it’s a good bet Theodore and Gertrude are not far away. Dante likes to snack on your tooth, and when he does, he leaves a small hole called a cavity. Only your Dentist can fix the damage done by Dante, but you can make sure he never starts snacking by brushing and flossing.
Sally Sweet Tooth
Crime – Sugar, sugar and more sugar is Sally’s motto.
Sally is the Queen Bee of the Tooth Terror Gang. Theodore, Gertrude and Dante listening to what she has to say and they love the sugar that she eats. When she eats lots of sugar, it can turn into acids which the other three love. It helps them create Tartar, Gingivitis and Decay. Stop Sally by eating healthy fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water.
