A very effective way to help children and teens prevent tooth decay
Children’s and teen’s teeth have many grooves, called pits and fissures, on the chewing surfaces of their teeth. These grooves make their teeth quite susceptible to cavities as food and bacteria can become lodged within them.
A fissure sealant is a “plastic” coating that is bonded to the surface of a tooth and is a simple, inexpensive and very effective way to help children and teens prevent tooth decay.
