As a family dentist in Hobart, we have a full range of state of the art diagnostic tools and believe preventative care is essential to lifelong oral health.

Diagnostics

We have a full range of diagnostic tools available in practice. These include; an intra-oral digital camera, caries detecting Diagnodent laser device, lower dosage in-surgery digital x-ray units and a controlled low dosage OPG scanning x-ray unit.

These tools assist us in diagnosing any problems with your oral health. We can then use this information to discuss your treatment options and work with you to select the best treatment for your needs.

Prevention

Our practice is firm in our belief that preventative care is essential to lifelong oral fitness, and we work hard to establish a strong foundation for you. Our very experienced dental hygienists are crucial in creating that foundation. We use periodontal analysis and recording (a system of charting the health of your gums and soft tissues) before scaling and cleaning as required. We also provide oral hygiene instruction and dietary counselling where required, and we have a comprehensive range of oral health products to assist in maintaining your dental health.
